Unparalleled is the charm of young France,

Dans la ville de l’amour, love blooms to life

Like the rekindled bond ‘tween man and wife.

There is no other place known for romance

As well as Paris, France, where lovers dance.

They desert their troubles, lose their strife

Whilst sharing secrets, their lips pursed and rife

With desire, so intimate is France.

The stars shine bright for the couple’s pirouette.

They watch them prance, twirl into the other’s

Embrace. No semblance of drab etiquette

Restrains these youths. All lovers, mothers

And fathers in France, twirl to this quartette.

This is a tune that is never smothered.

I have always found the beauty of France beguiling and enchanting, and I hope that this sonnet properly expresses my love for Paris, France in the literary language.
