“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

I see you walking down the hall

Looking as lonely

As you do always

You've done everything

Tried everything

But you always fail

To get a friend

You're so broken

Trust me when I tell you

That ever since all your friends left you

All I've ever wanted to do

Is to give you the love,

respect, and admiration

You truly deserve

You desperately need a hug

Yout heart craves for a friend

I wish I could be your friend

But I, too, am alone

I'm in desperate need

Of someone I can count on

Your chapped lips and lonely glance

Makes me sometimes think

That I have a chance

I absolutely don't

I have sunk so low

I'm lonelier than you

You have your books

And that weird librarian

I have nothing

But an old cardigan

To warm me up

In the bitter cold

I think I'll stay in my corner

And admire you from afar

I wish I could be the friend you need

I'm convinced you can find someone better

Good luck

I love you

Even if you don't know who I am

At least now you know

That, in some near future

When I finally become the person I want to be

I'll come out of the dark

We'll be freinds then

And whenever you need a warm cup of tea

You'll know that you can cuddle up

Right next to me

I hope you find the friend you need

This is a poem I wrote as a response to Ryan M.'s "All I Need Is a Friend." Look it up.
