I lay still, pulse dead.Dreams are roiling in my mind, throbbing in my veins as my spirit runs away.I still remember the edge of the knife that pressed against me not so long ago.
Lightning flickers behind your eyes as unabashed emotion. I've seen the way you coaxed this tempest storm into my body, felt the tingle as your lightning arced into my lungs.

I lay still, paralyzed. Your breath flutters inside me still, infusing me with guilt. The night sky has never been more beautiful since you closed your eyes and faded away.

"Upon his bench the pieces lay
As if an artwork on display
Of gears and hands
And wire-thin bands
That glisten in dim candle play." -Janice T., Clockwork[love that poem, dont know why, im not steampunk]
