Kids being embarrassed to speak spanish
not wanting to admit they're Mexicans
the papers say they're Americans
but the color and appearance say otherwise
banging for hoods they were not raised in
forgetting their roots,
where they came from
trying to rock nothing but J's
while their paisanos are rocking guaraches
America has given us great opportunities
but lest not forget about Mexico
our real country
