How could two things be so dependent on another,
yet each other's worst enemies?
Never inhabiting the same body at once,
they cannot co-exist;
But they permit one another to exist.
As death cannot be; unless life was.
They share an aggressive symbiotic dynamic;
like the interplay of light and shadow,
they cast contrasting patterns;
constantly battling for the spotlight of time.
Each other's mutual kryptonite,
the bane of their existence.
Creating a balanced and harmonic cycle for all to rest on.
