The Lightning Review
Book title and author: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Title of review: The Lightning Review
Number of stars (1 to 5): 5
Introduction
This book caught my attention right away! Rick Riordan is a very good adventurous writer. His storyline was amazing! This book explained ancient Greek and Roman history, also of gods and goddesses while carrying around an outstanding story.
Description and summary of main points
Percy Jackson was a teenage boy with a rough life. Never knowing who his father is, only to find out that his father is Poseidon, god of the sea! Percy then gets sent to a camp full of teens that had similar lives as him. But then he was blamed of stealing one of Zeus’s, god of all gods and of the sky, magic lightning bolts. Now has to go on a quest to find who then real thief is and return the bolt back to Zeus before a huge god war begins.
Evaluation
I believe that this is a class A, five star, and gold medal book. That is just my opinion. The book is a learning experience and a good time to read! I’ve read just about every book in the series, I believe that all of the books in the series have a great storyline.
Conclusion
If you really pay attention in the book and actual get into it, you feel as if you are in the book yourself. That is how good of a writer Rick Riordan is! You have to like gods, goddesses, and mythical things to be into the book. Its great how in the book he really puts it into detail and goes through Percy’s life and explains how he got into the situation that he got into.
Your final review
I would recommend this book to many people. Actually, I started to like these books in the fourth grade, because one of my teachers would read it to us every day at the end of the day. So a lot of age groups can read this book but you really have to understand it to like it. This isn’t a little kids book or an advanced one, so many people can read it.
