Passionate Pianist
Fingers flying fearlessly across ivory keys;
Shoulders slightly twitching after every octave;
Your feet prancing gracefully like leaves falling off trees;
As I watch you play, your face remains impassive,
With each passing note, my heart quickens its pace,
Seeing you play perfectly, song after song,
I am out of breath, though I am in no race;
And yet with a strong passion, you play on,
With fire flaming in your eyes, you concentrate,
And unaware of my hand reaching out,
Timid, I pause in mid-air and hesitate;
My hidden love for you trembling with doubt,
What if I called you and you turned away;
How could I survive without you each day?
