You Were Great, But I Was Better
I miss the nights we'd look up at the stars,
I miss your smile, warmth, and gentleness,
I miss you knowing each one of my scars,
I miss the time, now filled with emptiness.
I miss your presence, you're gone for good now.
I still love you, why's it so hard to let go?
What's done is done, so take a long bow,
The show is now over, you were great, bravo.
I'm sorry I just couldn't be enough,
And I hope to God she was at least worth it.
You broke my heart, didn't know it'd be so tough.
But I have to also give you some credit.
You managed to hide your dirty secret,
Now I hope you die with that filthy ferret.
