Sonnet II
Step after step in the warm spring sunshine
Lack of water, but not a lack of love
Minutes tick by and we lose track of time
The only goal is the one right above
My feet start to hurt, so you comfort me
Quiet my complains and distract my thoughts
Forced conversation now comes easily
We pushed our way though, endured to the top
We stop to rest and we share a quick kiss
Fingers intertwine, admire the view
These are the moments that I can’t resist
The moments of silence, sitting with you
We climbed a mountain, physically
Overcame a mountain symbolically
