Hunting Buffalo
The field that we scoped out felt flat and free.
Chewing on grass, the heard feasted like wolves.
Without worry, without fear they chowed down.
In position to charge, we lined the hill.
Waiting and watching we’re given our cue.
The horses were ready to hunt and run.
The cloud of dust caused confusion and fear.
Dropping like flies the buffalo all fled.
The scream of the beasts caused cringe and regret.
For dinner we feast on Buffalo steak.
We sit and we sharpen our spears all night.
When the morning hits we hunt once again.
