Missing You
I carry You in my heavy heart
This load is unbearable and I didn’t ever want it
Oh why did You have to go?
They laid You down on a bed of roses
Down in Your shallow grave beneath the earth
They let orange butterflies go into the sky
But all I wanted to do was scream
I wish I could just stop dreaming
The night deceives my breaking heart
A million voices trick me
They make me think that You are near
One night You came to me in a dream
You told me not to worry, told me You were okay
But I didn’t want to believe You
To believe that You had died
Remind me how it feels to hear Your voice
Anywhere, anytime, I would do anything
Just please let me hold You once again
Our memory is my lullaby each and every night
My heart is left so incomplete
With a thousand eyes on me, I stumble on
I carry You heading back to the start
