Hidden Worlds
The sun smiles for me in the sky
And the moon weeps on the other side of my heart
As they both rotate, round and round
In the elliptical cycle of my life
Spring, summer, autumn, winter they go
Another year, another loss
One more time I find myself grieving
But unwilling to show the sky
The shadows and starlit tears
That the moon hides for me
As it waxes and wanes through my emotions
And accepts the hurtful meteors of the universe
So thank you moon for never breaking
And I’m sorry sun for making you shine
To hide the night on the other side of my smile
