I Want MAG

I want to listen to the wild calling out in the dark
to those who know how to be afraid, and
stay anyway.
I want to find you in this
pale ghost of morning,
and write you down with pencil and memory.
I want to climb up great rocks and wonder at
the breath of earth,
the inhale of gravity.
I want to look back and love all that was mine,
all that laughed or sang or trembled.
I want to one day find the flower in the growing
of this heart,
and pull back each petal.
To let them whisper as they fall:
now,
now,
now.
