The Cottage by the Lake
December 12, 2015
I must have seen it
many times before-
that little cottage.
Surrounded and enclosed by redwoods,
nearing the lake.
I must have drunk from its glistening
waters; though one must never put too much
faith in memory; yet what will it do me
to be a skeptic?
All of my fondest memories are of things
that never happened.
