Living is nothing. Dreaming is something.

I thought I knew you
You were the person I loved
All my trust was put in you
I never doubted you

I felt protected around your arms
Nothing made me fear as long as you were there
The dangers meant nothing when you spoke
All that mattered was you

Your words convinced me of happiness
Woe never existed in my world
Everything was based upon your words
My friends had no say when you were there

My life was complete
I didn’t ask for anything else
I only needed you
You meant the world to me and I thought I did to you

I believed all the promises you made one day
Every single word remained in my heart
They were forever printed in my heart
And I didn’t mind the burden they sometimes caused me

My life depended on you
And you knew that
You took care of me
And promised to forever
And I believed you

Everything was yours
You took it all
I thought you cared at that moment
My eyes were too blind to see the truth

Then, came the day
You left me without caring
You decided you had to move on
All the promises you made vanished

Now, I look back
I still remember you
I loved you too much at one point
Your memory is still there
But, I’ve learned to move on
…without you

This actually sounded more like a rant to me than a poem, but it was still powerful.

That was a pretty good poem. I can kind of relate to it. Good job. Theres only one thing I'd suggest you change. For the line where you said

"Every single word remained in my heart" take out the in my heart that way youre not repeating yourself for the next line. Keep up the good work though (:

Parting is all we know of heaven and all we need of hell.

this poem seriously impressed me,. it was very very good. there were some points when the flow was slightly off, but not so much that you should change it.
