Perhaps depression has a hold on me,

But one day I'll break free.

I hold, deep down, dark pain inside.

It's rules, I fearfully abide.

It holds me down,

I posess only a frown.

It beats me down, until I can no longer speak.

I suppose I'll go walk to the peak.

Wind tears down leaves,

But no one else sees.

The leaves are slowly dying,

As me, no, I'm only crying.

Music blasts in my ears,

All I have are fears.

What if I'm not enough ?

I'd never leave him, it's not a bluff.

My feet start to weigh down, I'm wound,

The peak is near, I've found.

I look at the floor,

Then up at a store.

As I walk down the asle,

I find a lollipop pile.

I smile as I pick one up, red,

And I begin to dream of my new coming bed.

As I exit the store,

I look back at the floor.

Forward I go,

To reach my big show.

As I reach the peak,

I start to freak.

In my throat comes a large lump,

And I gasp as I jump.
