Is it a spark?
that ignites whenever you meet their eyes
Or is it a fire?
that burns long and slow though in disguise
Is it a shoe?
forgotten as you run from the ball
Or is it a prince?
who wants to save you, above all
Is it a song?
sung as a duet, to end the show
Or is it a bet?
to make a prom queen, from a simple Jane Doe
For all of us who can't obtain
that fairytale ending
we try everyday
to hide the fact we're pretending
