Immortality

So often we compare ourselves
to works of immortality.
To carefully crafted works of
our favorite work of poetry.
But I have see how life can bring
beauty in the messy things.
When we embrace life's little flaws
and fear not judgements vicious jaws.
We leave marks for the world to see,
that are much immortal than poetry.
