when soft silken nurture turns to
a dark burden of leaden luggage under her eyes,
When her warm whispered tales morph into
weary wails of bothersome inconvenience,
As she descends into a decade of creased skin and creaking bones,
And awaits your helping hand and hastily placed kindled kisses,
Age descends upon her as it does you,
so, cushion the blows of life's withering touch
