The Valley of Death
I stroll through
the valley of death
the sight of darkness
the stench of decay
I'm immune to the horrors of
the valley of death
full of angry face
and empty eyes
But once in a while
the valley of death
has a green spot
a patch of grass and light
There's a little hint of life in
the valley of death
maybe a flower
or a bumble bee
I have hope that at the end of
the valley of death
there is a huge field
of grass and flowers
My home lies on the edge of
the valley of death
my horrors right behind me
but my life stretching on forever more
