Seasons Change
Seasons change and so do I
but somehow you are unchanging
Steadfast as the rising sun
despite my constant rearranging.
Like a butterfly in the summer rain
dodging to and fro
Flitting about into the vast uncertainty
but you show me where to go.
You are my shelter in the tempest, my beacon in the night
For when you are gone the world is dark, and full of terror
and of fright.
No matter though, for you are within my heart
even when you're far away,
And I can sleep in peace at night knowing that you are here to stay.
Don't get me wrong I still
haven't quite decided if you're where I'm meant to be
but as surely as autumn fades into winter you'll be there
and I can rest
Assuredly
