She is a Queen
A pitch black room,
Center stage,
A single spotlight.
A caprice of joy was felt by every person as she filled the empty spotlight.
A single path of footprints glistens across the floor behind her,
Her shoulders back.
Head held high.
A genuine smile stretched upon her visage,
Her mind is cleared,
Her eyes met with every other pair in the room,
The young girls looked at her as a luminary.
The crowd sees her semblance,
The judges analyze her as she walks,
Waiting for her to flounder.
Look past the crown,
Beyond her pretty countenance,
She is an astute woman,
Her shimmering presence is but a marvelous addition.
She is strong,
For she never accepts defeat.
She is smart,
She has learned from her mistakes.
She is confident,
Because she has wholesomely accepted all of her flaws.
They see her for her crown,
Their impertinent vision excludes her sagacious personality,
They’re only seeing a slight fraction of all her unique characteristics,
Yet she is so much more.
She is a Queen.
