My Love
If I could I would write a poem about you,
I would tell you how I would hold you in my arms,
I would tell you how I would gently kiss your lips,
I would tell you how much I long to spend every night in your embrace,
But you have left me speechless,
You have melted the ice that encased my heart,
And for that I thank you.
I asked you to keep my heart safe,
And yet you have done so much more,
Though distance divides us,
Knowing you’re there is enough for me.
May your dreams grant you endless freedom,
May your life be filled with joy,
And may your heart forever keep watch over mine.
