Sometimes I wish I could rip off my skin

Snip the sinews

Peel the muscle

And don another’s.


Then I remember where my corruption lives

So I take my hand

Rip out my heart

Dissect the brain

And replace it with a new one.


So that you may love a good man,

And not me.
