Venomous Words

Your words are like red hot fire that burns blue at the tips.
You’re like the hot ice I learned about last year in chemistry, you manage to be cold to the heart but burn everything in your wake.
You have as much filter on your choice of words as a toddler who asks “mom is that a boy or a girl”?
You have no conception on how much despair your words bring to Her.
She puts up with you through it all, a pledging soldier who never falls.
She’ll never get her badge of honor or her gold star and I think that kills her inside.

I really like the message of this poem, and the structure of it really fits the topic. There are some word choices I would take another look at. For example, you use the words "hot" and burn" twice near the beginning, but other than that I really liked this poem!!!
