Charade
A mask she wears from day to night
It hides her cheeks and shades her eyes
Covering the tears that roll down
Filling her emptiness in black
Everyday she reads the subtitles
The subtitles of her life
Attracting fake, frivolous friends
Who try to figure out the mystery behind
Breaking it piece by piece
They find a sweet young girl
Who plays the silly charade
Thinking it will last long
But as they continue
She plays harder and wiser
Not knowing she wears multiple
Multiple masks she wears
