Learn
We wake every day
A skewed life misted and hazed
Forced to march through
A life we will not follow
By this time we find uniqueness
In each of us
Hoops of standards we still face
Lines more complex than lace
They tell us “your brain is not developed till you are 20”
Well, we have already learned plenty!
We know our hearts
Do not deprive us
A failing system
Just a repeating rhythm
The statistics prove it again and again
We live in a broken nation
I am not a robot
I have human thought
We each are individuals
Stop putting us in the same spot
