Hunger of the Wolves
I want it
I want to change
to break away from all these things.
holding me down; tearing me apart.
it's like I'm laying on the forest floor
surrounded by a pack of hungry wolves
one biting and snapping at every limb,
hands and feet gradually becoming numb.
each passing moment the pain gets worse
stronger, more unbearable.
pulling me in more than one direction.
no wolf is stronger than the rest,
making this torment never ending.
ravage hunger making them unrelenting.
such is the way of life.
when things become overbearing
and you feel like me; stuck in the jaws of wolves
it's time for a change.
if things stay this way, nothing will change
nothing gets better or worse.
just this constant, gruesome pain of choices not made
if you refuse to make a choice,
a rebellion against the hunger,
you'll forever stay the same
you must learn to make a choice
to change your life
you can't erase the pain caused by these wolves
the scars will forever remain
but if you learn to make a choice and change,
take the more savage path.
for sometimes, the only way to ease the pain,
is to be the cause.
