Dragons Amidst The Clouds
The sky is just white
But I see
Beyond the morning light
Their long triangle tales
And fire blowing flames
Dragons I see
Looking down at me
Their mythic beauty fascinates me
I hold their tail and pull them down
Holding their orange moustache
Like a crown
The sky is just white
But I see
Beyond the morning light
The sharp swords at their neck
Seem to me like cards on a playing deck
Dragons I see
In the sky set free
As the lines of pink in the sky go dark
The clouds change shape
But I can still make out
Where the dragons would be
The sky is just white
But I see
Beyond the morning light
The teeth are sharp like a shark’s
Their howls thunder but still sound like barks
Dragons I see
Calling me
They jump on each other
In a dangerous yet good-humored fight
They jumble around in their battlefield
Turning their tail into a knot quite tight
The sky is just white
But I see
Beyond the morning light
They’ve black under their eye
Thumping their feet across the sky
Dragons I see
Combating me
As dusk sets the sky
And stars twinkle
I still see beyond their light
For the last time
At the dragons amidst the clouds
This time;
Waving goodbye…
The sky is just white
But I see
Beyond the morning light…
