Muffled foot-falls floating Through the night and
Under pools of streetlight
Stand
To catch a breath
And start again.
Smeared colors slipping by,
War-paint marks the visage.
Blood courses, sprinting now.
Hands reach out
For another,
While slipping out of sight and sound.
