Infinite Illness (Part 3): Heaven
I will follow the river of mortal red;
I will faithfully drink your wine
and pray for forgiveness of my sins.
If I can't find my way to Heaven
I'll do anything
not to carry on to Hell.
If you died for me
I'll die for anyone as well.
Until then this is a story
no one can tell.
The open sea and offshore breeze
weave a haunting song.
A song that puts me to shame,
leaving me to drown in tears;
alone in darkness
far from fame.
I reached for the hands of God
with faith in my
sore and sick mind
but no fear of death in my
blinded and worn out eyes.
Evils temptations
will not deprive me
of who I have loved and lived for.
I won't complain
of the pressure on my heart,
softly intended
to rip me apart...
I carry on.
