The babies bones burn

as the trunk of the tree

collapses in a haze

of wheat, molasses, and mold,

screaming the whole way thru

the town where

mice and men and

sinners and saints

dive in the ocean

where father's fleet paints

a mural of a dune called

Amazing grace, I once was lost,

But the roar of the lion was faint

and the grains of rice

poured from the sky

like ground-up oceans

shattered like a porcelain doll

writhing like an injured beast,



Silent



But



Sweet
