Safety Off
I live in he**.
The devil’s breath
is my air and it smells
of rotting corpses and
decaying dreams. Sinful
deeds are the only fuels
for any kind of
ambition.
You live here with me
and suffer just as much
as I do, but
I am not as strong
as you and I want to
see what comes after this.
So if it’s okay with you
I’m going to leave this gun,
resting in my palm,
loaded and with the safety off.
If my hand happens to twitch,
do not fret. It won’t
be aiming
at you.
