This Is Love

Yes - This is love.
Yes, I know it is so, for this is not from below but from above - This is love.
Be I holding your hand as we walk on the sand, or six hundred miles apart, in my hands I hold your heart, for you have mine and never shall we part.
Fall we might - But still - The Light.
The light - that teaches us.
The light - that keeps us.
The light - to hold on to.
The light - to belong to.
HOPE
HONESTY
TRUST
these are a must.
And these - The rest of my life I shall try
So there will always be -
You and I.
Yes - This is love.
Because the Son Of man hath loved first -
He loved you and I
Yes - This is Love.
Till the day I die.
I Love You.

I wish a guy would say this to me... the reptition with "the light" is awesome. It's so nice to see such a honest, pure, take on love from a guy. Great work!

Quite a heartfelt way to put such things; I did not find this to be too sentimental, as I usually do with poems of this nature. The certainty, the devotion, the raw honesty of it made me sure that the love which you are speaking of is both true and pure. I especially liked the bit about 'the light.' Well done!
