I would give you hope if only it never faded.
I would give you love if only I was certain it could stay.
I would give you the world if only it was not broken.
But I can never be true to my word if that is what I gave.
So instead I give thee me because that is what I know will stay.

You can never be certain about anything in life, but one thing you can be certain about is yourself. You make your own decisions and choose your own path. You may not be able to give someone hope, or love, life, or time. But you can give someone yourself, you can give them your time, your life, your hope, and your world and only you can promise to stay forever.
