Mother May I Play With Madness

Mother may I play with madness
Life seems so mundane
It seems I'm trapped by expectations
I think I'd like to be insane

All around me is convention
And desperate normalcy
At times it feels theres no one
Who feels the same as me

Somehow I think its better
To be hopelessly confused
Than be a slave to regulation
With an imagination never used

If this is all we're liveing for
Then why are we still here?
I know we have a purpose
I pray that mine is near

This was amazing. =)

my very first posts took 3 weeks and i posted three at one time. so i think it just depends on how many you post at one time.

They absolutely want your poems! I was starting to think the same thing tho, mine took almost a month to be accepted. Poetry takes the longest, my other articles only took a few days.

This was such a beautiful poem! I loved it, and I could tell there's a lot of feeling and emotion behind it. I'm a new member of teenink, and I submitted a few poems to the editor probably a week ago. How long does it usually take for an article to earn approval? If you could reply that would be great because I'm starting to think that they don't want my poems on the site because they're bad! 8) Anyways, loved your poem, and continue writing!
