"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not"
"Somewhere betweeen us talking, you saying I deserve better, and you making me laugh when I wanted to cry, I fell in love with you."

I ran wild in the wind.
No could stand in my way.
Nothing could stop me.
Until love came along.
I thought to myself.
“I have no time for a broken spirit”.
Be everywhere I went, it tagged along.
I’d hear his name in the wind.
I’d catch myself thinking about him.
I realized that when I did think about him.
I smiled.
When I wanted to cry he made everything better
But I still wouldn’t give in
And it hurt worse and worse
I couldn’t give up my freedom
If I did I knew I would pay for it
It would put chains around me forever
It would break me down
Then one day
As I was walking
A butterfly landed on my hand
Its delicate markings made me stare
As I looked harder and harder
I realized
His name was written in the wings
Not the work of man, but of God
A sign to let loves wings carry me
To trust
But what about my freedom
My spirit and soul
If I were to give into love
I’d loose ownership of them
But I had too
So I let go
I jumped off the cliff
Expecting to hit rock
But then when I opened my eyes
I realized I was standing in a beautiful field with flowers
A crystal clear stream
My heart wasn’t chained
It was as if now
Was the first time I was truly free
I accepted my feelings
And there were no shackles around my feet
Nothing confining me
I took a step forward, into the field
Still scared of what might happen
Waiting for the ambush
As my foot touched the ground
I sighed with relief
Yet, I was still afraid
As I looked around
I spotted it
My spirit
In the form of a horse
She was amazing
At once I knew
My true soul
Had been released
I was not free in the past
Not compared to now
With this majestic animal
Standing before me
I can now see
What freedom is
By loving someone
With your entire heart
You will discover a new world
A new you
The real you
The you that they unburied
The wild horse
That they set free
