A Gift has been Given

A gift of kindness has been given this day
To whom you ask?
Why that is quite obvious
She is fair-haired and blue-eyed
Extremely hard to miss
Her heart is kind
And her words are as well
A friend could ask for no more
She has gentle words of encouragement to offer
To everyone who passes
Whether they be old or young,
Cruel or kind,
She is there with a smile on her face
Ready to help and serve
She is an angel,
Maybe more,
But I am so thankful for such a friend,
I hope she knows
