Abecedarian Beach Poem
After a long week of anticipation, we were finally going to the
Beach. We put our bags into the
Car and drove to pick up our friends.
Delighted and
Energetic, we played
Fun music and sang along the whole ride there. When we pulled into the driveway, we were
Giddy with excitement. My friends and I got out of the car and
Heaved our bags up to my room.
I
Jumped into bed and slept for what felt like two minutes. My mom was moving around the
Kitchen when I woke up and went downstairs. She had packed us
Lunch for the beach. We piled into the car and, as soon as we got to the beach we
Majestic waves beckoned us, inviting a dive.
Nothing else mattered when we were swimming in the water. The
Ocean was our only concern. All of our
Problems left our minds as soon as our feet touched the sand. “Wait! We forgot something!”
Quickly, Sophia ran to grab our boogie boards. As she
Ran back into the water, and a wave smacked her down. But that
Still didn’t
Tear down her spirit. She was as excited as ever. When the next wave came by, Rachel dove
Under, but I rode it in on my boogie board. After being in the water for a while, we were
Very tired. Slowly we
Walked up to our chairs and enjoyed a
Xenial, relaxing lunch. After relaxing and lying on the warm sand, we dove back into the waves.
You can dream of days like this, where nothing else matters. We may not get a day like this for
Zillions of years. We made every moment count.
