Reflections in Still Waters
In still waters, I see myself,
a reflection staring back at me.
The ripples distort my image,
a reminder that nothing stays still.
The water's calmness soothes my soul,
yet the mirror it holds is unkind.
Every flaw and imperfection
magnified and laid bare before me.
But amidst the flaws and distortions,
I see glimpses of something more.
A glimmer of hope, a spark of light,
that ignites a fire deep within.
The reflection may not be perfect,
but it is a part of who I am.
A reminder to embrace my flaws,
and to always strive to be better.
In still waters, I find clarity,
a moment of peace and introspection.
A chance to reflect on the past,
and to chart a course for the future.
The ripples may come and go,
but the reflection remains.
A constant reminder of the journey,
and the person I am becoming.
