History
An old record, red and brown
A story that was finally told, through someone else
Grandma loved him, 1960s roaring and changing in bright burning orange
Grandpa hated him, still don’t know why
Seemed like that's how his life went, love red, hate a similar shade
I won’t ever know him
Neither will grandma,
But he’s apart of our history,
Spinnin' records of red, and movie screens in fluorescent light
He is for me like he is for her
Part of our past and our future
