Oh How Beautiful It Was
The flowers bloomed,
Trees blossomed,
Animals ran around too,
Smiles were everywhere,
and happiness was in the air.
Oh how beautiful it looks today,
The sky bright and blue,
The grass bright green,
Everything was so nice,
as it seemed.
Bulldozers moved in,
Big tractors and trucks,
It seemed as everything turned to dust,
There was red mud everywhere,
Why did they have to destroy something so beautiful?
No more trees,
No more birds,
No more squirrels or animal herds,
Nothing was left,
My heart was filled with despair.
A year later,
There was a new factory,
That smoked and filled the air with sadness,
As I imagined how it looked before,
My heart was tore.
Where did all the animals go?
What about the trees?
What about the flowers?
What happened to the birds who flew the sky?
Where did all my animals go?
