Out, Cast Away
I've been condemned to a desolate land,
Too dusty for me to see past my hand,
Alone with memories of my life before,
Tears roll freely and out they pour,
The life I had was plenty good,
I actually owned where I stood,
Thrown out to live in the dust,
There isn't anyone I can trust,
This world is different from my own,
It's nothing that I've ever known,
Now I know I realized too late,
'Cause nothing will ever change my fate,
But one thing's been true all along,
You don't really know what you got till it's gone.
