"The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for." - Bob Marley

Staring at a blank piece of paper
With pen in hand, sits a poem creator
With zero verses and zero lines
She racks her brain, trying to think of rhymes

Staring at a blank piece of paper
With paintbrush in hand, sits an art creator
As she ponders in vain with her paper and brush
Her paints and her easel remain untouched

Staring at a blank piece of paper
With pen in hand, sits a plot creator
Uninspired and deprived of creation
She attempts to spark her imagination

Staring at a blank piece of paper
With camera in hand, sits a film creator
Deep in thought- motionless she sits
In darkness, with no new ideas for her script

Staring at a blank piece of paper
With microphone in hand, sits a music creator
No matter the composition, it simply seemed wrong
And she quickly ran out of ideas for her song

Staring at a full piece of paper
With pen in hand, sits a poem creator
Her eyes gone wide and her face filled with shock
To find she had written a whole poem about her creativity block.

The author's comments:
This poem is something that reflects me and many other people, I'm sure. when the expectation of being able to write creatively on the spot is put on you, as soon as you do not meet it, disappointment hangs in the air. This poem was just meant to say, "If you can't think of something, then that's okay!" I just wanted to put that across.
