Your Song

Baby, you're beautiful and unique
I knew it was meant to be when I kissed your cheek
Other girls wear make-up and spread talk that's cheap
Compared to your personality, their's seems weak
Our feelings flow deeper than any creek
Baby, let me knock you off your feet

Your eyes are the diamond in any ring
I want this to last longer then any fling
You showed me life is about the simpler things
So for you this song I sing

You're harder to figure out than your tie dye shirts
Yet I'll do anything to keep you from being hurt
You were talking over my head from the start
But now you've moved all the way into my heart
First it went to my lips all with one amazing kiss
And then it went to my throat
Where these feelings could make me choke

Your eyes are the diamond in any ring
I want this to last longer than any fling
You showed me life is about the simpler things
So for you this song I sing

I really liked this poem. It's a love poem but unlike most love poems it doesn't seem trite. It's overall a really good poem! Good job! It's much better than my poem on here.
