Leisurely Glee
I take my time and seldom haste
With so much time, it’s mine to waste
Beauty is taken only in stride,
And from its wonders I will not hide
When was the last time you took more than a glance?
Stood in wonder and embraced nature’s trance?
You may look down upon me and my sluggish ways,
But I cannot envy you or your fast-paced days
You get out of bed with no hint of a grin
Work ‘til you’re drained and head for the gin
Having barely a moment to condescend or glare,
I feel no shame, no sting from your stares
I amble along and take in the sights
I pity you, for you feel no delight
