A Simple Sin
As the sweat rolls down,
My body is tense, yet tired
Breaths are held, there is no sound
Except for a necklace, I am bare
The harsh light yields my imperfections
From a mole or freckle, to a stray brown hair
A slight breeze kisses my skin,
as goosebumps raise, I shiver once
And it reminds me of a simple sin
I pull a blanket back to my shoulder
and revel in its warmth.
The sweet, sweet time is over
