The Ravns Tear
The old man sat by the window sill
Gently gazing above a hill
For from the hill a raven flew
Which filled the man with fright anew
For he was told the day he would die
A raven would come and cry
“Come follow me your time is near,
Come to save the ones you hold dear.”
He followed the raven into the wood
Where his little granddaughter stood
A wolf was there circling her
It would kill her he was sure
He grabbed his knife and killed the beast
But was overcome with grief
His granddaughter was hurt and dying
But the raven came flying
It cried and its tears healed the girl
The old man smiled and gently
Left the world
