Summary:

While working at a cement mixing factory with his childhood friend Artyom, Pechal thinks of his dire situation in this poor town and decides to visit back to his hometown where his parents live in search of a better life. When Pechal returns, however, he discovers the town in a horrifically decrepit state, having become overrun with strange foliage that is as dark as night. Coupled with the desire to find his parents in this mess, and the lack of life around him, Pechal can only feel fear and intrigue as he attempts to discover the cause of such a strange encounter. Pechal is forced to make intense moral decisions as well as acceptance of his past. Pechal can no longer run from his past and has to live in the moment, otherwise, how will he survive?
