The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.
By Mark Haddon.
One of the best books I've read in a long time.
????????

The book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, was a good book. There were times that I could not put the book down, and times when it got boring. It was different, like no other book I have read. The book wasn't bad though. The main character, Christopher, was difficult to understand. He made the book seem a little confusing. It was a little hard to understand what he was trying to explain because I felt like he was explaining it very well.

When Christopher finds his neighbors dog dead, he become very curious and wonders what happened. He begins to ask his other neighbors if they saw anything suspicious. Nobody knew anything, so Christopher asked his dad. His dad said it was none of his business, and that he needed to leave it alone. Christopher wouldn't leave it alone. He started writing a book about what was happening, and so he could write down what he found out. His father came home from work one day, and saw the book. Christopher's father was furious, so he took the book, and hid it. Christopher was upset, so he went to find his book. He found the book in a box. In the box was his book and 43 letters addressed to him. So he read some of the letters. They were all from his mother. Christopher was confused because his father had said that his mother died of a heart attack. Christopher realized that his mother wasn't dead. When his father found out that Christopher knew his mother was alive, Christopher's father told him the truth. The truth made Christopher terrified, and he ran away to find his mother.

I don't think that this book would be recommended for some people in middle school because there are a lot of cuss words in it. It seems like it would be more appropriate for teenagers that it would be for preteen and younger kids.

In conclusion, I say that The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime was a good book.i would recommend this most 8th graders, but I know that some people wouldn't like is book because to them it might too boring, or too confusing. Not everybody would like this book.
